Idler Gear

Installation & Recommended Use

Gearbox / Rear Hub Applications

Each bearing is pre-lubricated with grease and is ready for installation straight out of the package.

For users who prefer a different steering or drivetrain feel, bearing oil may be applied to fine-tune performance.

Front Steering Knuckle Applications

The factory grease is intentionally high in viscosity to maximize durability during shipping and general use.

To achieve maximum rotational performance, the bearing must be thoroughly cleaned and degreased before installation.

Soak the bearing in a high-quality parts cleaner, rotate it while cleaning, and repeatedly blow it out with compressed air until all factory grease has been completely removed.

If this process is not performed completely, the bearing will not achieve its full performance potential—although it will still outperform conventional RC bearings.

After cleaning, we highly recommend lubricating the bearing with ROSWELL OIL ZERO FRICTION OIL to achieve maximum rotational performance.
